As my friend and I sat in the hot tub on the top deck, the full moon behind, and the lights of Montreal ahead of us, we decided we'd never been happier ever.
We headed down to Bota Bota following a long first day in Montreal. We had walked over 10 miles that day as we explored the city, our legs and feet were aching and we couldn't think of a better way to end our day. We arrived for our 6:30 Swedish massages about a half hour before. We both wished that they had provided us with sandals - as we both came in our boots and so we walked around barefoot. The massages were amazing! Then, we changed into our bathing suits for the water circuit. And that's when we found ourselves in my new happy place - the hot tub on the top deck of the boat. It was quiet and peaceful and relaxing and perfect in every way. The feeling of the cold air on your face, and the warm spa on your body was so wonderful. After spending 15 minutes in the hot tub, we dunked ourselves into the vat of freezing cold water. I was kind of dreading this part but it ended up being exhilarating and fun. We hopped from the boat and headed to the other pools just off the boat. We sat in the steam room and the sauna, in the room with the swinging chairs...We just never wanted to leave!
My friend and I both made a vow that it would not be our last time at Bota Bota. For sure going to plan another trip to Montreal so we can experience it once again!
