Pluses
* Strong massage by 2nd therapist helped relieve some pain
* Great technique by 1st therapist who employed some pulling which I loved
* Friendly staff.
* The open concept felt like an adventure
* Clean place
* Chinatown location - turned the morning into a self-care & food trip
Cons
* I had to get 2 massages to feel some relief as the 1st massage therapist was not strong enough. That said, I should've stopped the massage and asked for a different therapist. This option is available on the policy they posted on their website
* Both therapists cannot speak English well. I needed to explain more otherwise they were focusing on the wrong areas. If the English language skills can be improved, the service will be even better
* The 1st therapist shared that she learnt Tuina from the other RMT's at the clinic. Although her technique is good, I wonder if formal schooling which include courses on anatomy will be better to really bring out the therapeutic aspect of the massage. I also wonder if the non-RMT price of $70 is fair given that at other clinics, RMT's charge $87
Overall, I enjoyed the experience. The open concept of the clinic, the staff, the massage and the Chinatown location felt like an adventure.
