Well, the place and room looked like a crime scene. Not just any crime...like a very well developed and extensive crime scene. There was blood on the mattress, on the carpet, and there were two individuals that appeared to live in the motel that were extremely unfriendly, actually interrogating us as we approached our room as if we were intruding on their territory. There was an empty beer can under the bed. A security team drove past us twice in the span of five minutes and eyed us from head to toe half wondering if we were perhaps criminals or perhaps what the hell we were doing there.
The only reason that we stayed there was because it was 2 a.m. when we arrived in town and we were absolutely exhausted. Oh, and they screwed up our bed. We requested a queen and they gave us a single. I have never felt that unsafe at a motel in my life. I was quite certain that at any given moment the screams and yelling that we could hear from a few doors over (at 3am)( probably from a drug user and/or prostitute) would turn into our door getting kicked in by said druguser(s) or by the authorities.
Even if the place where free it would have been overpriced. The best thing I can say about the place was that technically, I suppose, it was a room, in that it did include a door and for the most part, four walls. Stay here at your own risk. If you decide to stay here, make sure that you have a life insurance policy and your will is written out.
