| - Listen... lots of bike shoppes are popping up in the Pittsburgh area. There is a lot of competition. These guys will treat you with respect, and answer any questions you have in as great detail as you desire whether you are buying a $10 accessory, a $30 repair, or a $2000 bike. Furthermore, if you need a repair they treat you the same whether you have a top-of-the-line bike or a Walmart bike. Before he got sick, my father bought me a department store Schwinn right around the time they got iffy. He didn't have a lot of money. His dad had bought him a Schwinn at the same age. With the money I've spent on parts over the years on this bike I could have purchased a premium bicycle. But this obviously hold some sentimental value, so I appreciate their care with it. Also, had an inconvenient problem after I had some maintence done and they fixed it VERY quickly and explained to me in detail (and physically showed me) what was wrong with my bike. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Problem you'll find in other stores (especially that one on Bethel Church Road): Snobbery, elitists, over pricing, eye rolls, and entitlement.
Touching upon Whitney B.'s review from July 2, 2015... No, don't pull the Gender card on this. It has nothing to do with you being a woman. These guys are bike-minded. It might be their one drawback. I don't think one of them could run for a political office and win because they just simply aren't fakers. They aren't overly-nice. They aren't gushy. What they lack for in some people's expectations of warmth and courtesy, they make up for with expertise and fair pricing which is really what you're going there for. It's not a restaurant, after all...
