  • I never write reviews on Yelp, however, the "care" I received from this horrible place can not go unnoticed and the love for my children will make sure my voice is heard. I will not be quiet and fight everyday so that other parents do not have to experience what a unprofessional and absolutely disgusting place this is. I am a mother of two, who recently took my 11 month old baby boy to be seen. This urgent care was very close to home and it seems to be dedicated to children so I trusted in them. When I arrived, it was about 9:30 am and I mentioned how I just moved and did not have a pediatrician and am putting my trust in them to help me find out what was going on with my baby. As a 11 month old, my son is unable to speak and tell me what is wrong. However, he was definitely not himself. I let the doctor know that he was usually a very happy baby and that was the last day and a half he was very down, very sleepy, uncomfortable, and constipated. He was not eating much and was seeming lethargic. The nurse took his temp, checked for strep, and then proceeded to tell me he was fine and just had a virus since he had rosey cheeks. She sent us home letting us know we should get him some pedialyte and it may take 7-10 days to feel better. I left with the feeling of relief knowing my son would get better yet sad for how long it may take to recover. It was devasting to see a once happy boy to be in so much pain. Later that day around 6pm, I called the doctor back to tell them he was now throwing up the pedialyte I went to get him right after the morning visit and if it was normal with the virus. They assured me it was and sent me to CVS for an anti nausea medicine they then prescribed. I sat and stared at my very ill baby and tried to get through the night seeing how absolutely miserable he was. I could not take it anymore he was looking so ill and so uncomfortable that I had a motherly instinct to get another opinion. I then went to see another doctor at the ER. Once there the doctor came in I began to tell her the exact same symptoms he had, and how he usually was. She began to look at him, she felt his belly (which the other doctor did not do), she took his temp and still had no fever, she then order a urine test. And guess what he had a bacterial infection. I was even told if I would have waitied and not gotten it treated it could have worsen. Imagine if I took the first doctors advice and waited 7-10 days??? I was happy to be able to get my son treated properly yet very disappointed in this place that sent my son home without the proper test nor care. I felt deeply sad that a place you are supposed to trust with your children, a place that I should feel secure about giving me a pathway to a healthy child had let my 11month old go home to get worse. My son can not tell me what is wrong with him so I thought going to a professional place was going to help and that is not what I got. After three days on antibiotics my son is now his happy self. Four days after my initial visit to this urgent care, I went back to give feedback on how my son was not properly treated and what was actually wrong with him. Not once did someone apologize or ask how he was doing now. The whole time the staff danced around how they did what they could. How is it possible when they never ordered any test, besides strep, and did not even examine his body. I was then told about the things they "always" do such as a 24hr check up call, discharge paperwork, and how they do not like to give out antibiotics and that I can even look online as to why that is not good for a child. It was FOUR DAYS later and I never received any check up calls, I didn't get discharge papers and I figured it was because he was not diagnosed with anything! Anyway, I asked for my $30 co pay back because I had to pay another doctor to find out what was really wrong with my son and thank God I did!!! They told me they would speak to the owner the next day. The next day came and I had to call them twice but they had not talked to him yet. They left me a VM and said they would have to speak to him the next day. That day is today! I did not get any calls so I decided to call to follow up around 3pm. They let me know the owner said no I could not get my money back and that he would have done the same thing. Huh? So the owner said he would have misdiagnosed my son and sent him home with no medicine after not even touching his besides listening to his breathing and would have told me to wait 7-10 days while in actuality over that time he would have been getting worse and worse. I am appalled , disgusted, sad, and worried that this business is still open. And I will warn as many people as I can from taking their beautiful children to this horrific place. Please get your children the proper care!! I promise I will fight daily to get this review out to the public, I will not rest until I have.
