I visited this T-Mobile store in Las Vegas after my phone was stolen at Hakkasan. I mentioned my situation to the girl who was helping me, and she was super friendly helping me get a new phone. I knew exactly what I wanted- the Samsung Galaxy S8 so she went to the back to get me my phone and started ringing me up. She immediately opened the box and started setting up my new phone at the counter. I noticed it was larger than my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy S7), but I assumed it was just a difference between the S7 and the S8.
Once I returned home from Vegas several days later, I looked at my phone and noticed that it says Samsung Galaxy S8+ on the back. I did not ask for a Plus nor did she ever mention that she was ringing me up for the Plus, which is the larger and more expensive version of the phone I wanted. I checked my T-Mobile account and sure enough, I am being charged for the S8+, which is $70 more than the S8.
Maybe I'm naive for not noticing right away at the store, but it was also shady of the employee to sell me a more expensive phone than I asked for. It's bad enough I got taken advantage of at the club- I just wasn't expecting it at T-Mobile too. So be careful if you're in a similar situation and double/triple check the phone you are buying. Don't let this store take advantage of you too!
