rev:text	We cannot wait to sell our home and move out of this community. Hell has to freeze over before we ever live somewhere with an HOA. I lost my job late last year and fell behind on our HOA payments. I was working with someone who I actually thought cared about our situation. She wanted details of what happened so she could help us. First, when did becoming nosey in the personal lives of homeowners become an HOA's business. it doesn't matter why we are behind, they don't need to know that. The individual who I spoke too stated they would work with us to get caught up and make sure we were all settled with getting everything paid up. We are still in the process of getting caught up. I did inform this person that we would be 100% caught up once we received our taxes back and we would pay the balance in full. Well apparently the board of directors felt it necessary to turn our account over to an attorney to collect the money. This was the biggest punch in the stomach to us especially when we were told they would work with us in getting caught up and then they pull this. I tried calling the individual who I was "working with", with no call back or email either. I tried to email her and she stated she cant speak with me regarding our account as it has been sent to their attorney. Without speaking to us and trying to actually help, this is what they do. They put a lien on our house and now we have to pay the lien, attorney fees and get caught up (which we are almost there). They had no intentions on working with us. We are not foreclosing on our home. We are working hard to get caught up all around as this isn't the only bill that we fell behind on. It is quite sad that they are doing this to us. Turning our account over to an attorney was NOT necessary. It has caused a lot of problems for us on every level and it has become even harder to get caught up on everything else when we are paying a ridiculous amount of money every week to get caught up. Brown Community management doesn't care about the homeowners or the community. They as all other companies only care about the bottom line and that is their wallet. Avoid any community with Brown Community Management as the handler for the community as they will screw you guys over like they did with us. They owe us a HUGE apology and need to man up and make this right. I don't appreciate being told that they will work with us and assist us and they do nothing then turn our account over to an attorney. I wont live anywhere with an HOA or any community that Brown Community Management as the handler of the community. They don't know what they are doing. PERIOD They don't deserve any stars. They are rude, condescending and curt when you try to speak to them. They refuse to listen but so quick to judge. There have been several times we have received a notice that our garbage can or recycle can is out in the open when it was clearly in the backyard. They show favoritism and are money sucking leaches. Our HOA was supposed to be $125 with everything included (trash, water, sewage, etc. . . ) well it was NEVER this. It was $180 and now $200. This is gouging and they are gouging the homeowners every chance they get. It is unprofessional and uncalled for. But as you see, they are only responding to mainly the reviews that give them a high rating. They don't care about the poor reviews. Only those that make them look good. Pathetic.
