| - This restaurant is almost exactly half way between our house and my brothers house in the Milwaukee area. Since I had eaten here several years ago, I thought we would try it again. My wife, brother and S.I.L had never eaten here before.
The place is great. Our server, Jason, was excellent!
They have a great, reasonably priced menu. I'm a bit of a fussy eater and don't like a lot of foods. But their menu accommodated even ME!!
Since it way my birthday (73!!!!! Whew), I celebrated with a Burger, Fries and a Malt, just like the old days! Foods I rarely eat anymore because I am always trying to keep my weight down. And one of the best parts of my meal was the SKINLESS french fries!! Wooo wooooo, if you look at my profile, I HATE french fries with skins on them. Come on, really!, the skin is where all the VITAMINS are??? RIGHT!!! But you will never prove to me that vitamins remain in the skins or anywhere else after a dunk in 10,000 degree oil!! (LOL)
Anyway, you won't be disappointed in the least if you eat here. Be aware, it gets crowded at lunch time, when we were there, and probably at other times. Service was still quite fast.
There is parking all around the place, street and lot(s). There is a new building going up right across the street but does not interfere with parking at all.
AND....not only is this a diner, but a bakery too. The glass counters right in front of you as you enter, are loaded with really kool bakery, is almost impossible to pass up!
They do serve alcohol, my wife said that her Bloody was excellent and made with a VERY popular mix. She is indeed a expert at what a good bloody should taste like!
ENJOY
