| - All of the reviews that give this place a low rating, are true. Unfortunately, for a place where you would think would be filled with positive energy, open mindedness and even love, is overpowered by the weird, unfriendly, demeaning, and argumentative owner. Yes, the owner, and even some of the employees. The vibe in this crystal shop is forever changing depending on what employees/staff that are working there that day. Some employees actually care about your experience at the store and others are on their phones texting and walking around like they do not work there.
My first visit to the store was wonderful, where o purchased a pendulum and a book on crystals and minerals. This visit was wonderful. The employee that helped me was great, willing to explain things, friendly and helpful (this employee was of Hispanic Decent).
My second visit, I brought my brother and my boyfriend. My brother wanted to purchase a stone (which he did), and I wished to exchange the book that I purchased during my first visit. This visit was 2 weeks following my initial visit.
Unfortunately, the book that I purchased happened to be the wrong book on crystals that my boyfriend wanted. When I asked the gentleman who sits at the front as cashier for an even exchange (or an exchange where I'd pay for the difference in the correct crystal book) he immediately kept repeating that books could not be returned or exchanged. I asked again and he yelled to the the Owner, John, if I could return the book. John pretty much barked at me like I did something morally wrong and even raised his voice at me while other customers were around as to scold me for not coming in sooner to exchange the book. He exclaimed that books cannot be returned or exchanged and kept repeating himself over and over while saying "I know the customer is always right, but this is my business, and that's how I run things!"
I was already embarrassed by the way he treated me, but I still tried to tell him that 1st, there was nothing on the receipt or anything in the store the suggested that books could not be exchanged; 2nd, that I DIDNT EVEN WANT A REFUND, I simply wanted to exchange the book for the correct "Crystal Bible" book that contained all of the original crystals and minerals that my boyfriend was looking for; 3rd, no one in the store informed me that books were final sale, even the gentleman who was sitting up front that sold the book to me said nothing of the matter, and; 4th, I have a life, job and family and unfortunately could not get back to his shop until 2 weeks after I purchased the book.
With all of that being said, the owner continued to talk down to me in front of his employees, my brother, boyfriend and other customers.
Customer service is truly a 0 out of 10. The owner really killed the vibe of this beautiful store.
I will not return to this store ever and will no longer suggest or refer friends and family to this store. Honestly, I should've made my brother put back the stone he purchased and took out business elsewhere that same day.
