| - I am not a girl who has a long-term relationship with her stylist. I am constantly on the road, and have had my hair cut from New York to Atlanta to Idaho Falls and lots of places in between. I don't go very often, either, finding the whole project more of a chore than anything else. When I spend that much $ on myself, though, I want to see a difference.
Mood Swings was a good, if fairly standard salon experience. I got a nice haircut that looks much different than when I walked in, along with a color glaze. The color looks great as well. The stylist, April, was young and hip, and gave me good advice and ideas. She didn't seem to be telling me what I wanted to hear (which I appreciate). She also asked questions to get an idea of my personality rather than just dictate.
I got the first time customer deal offered on their website, so my total for cut and glaze was $75. That also included a make-up touch-up and of course the tea, coffee or Hansen's natural soda. That's pretty darn good, I think. The only real negative was the attitude of the reception/cashier. He wasn't very cordial or welcoming, and never smiled. Maybe he was having a bad day, but not cool for a position like that.
I'm very happy with my results, and would definitely return.
