This was my 17th trip to LV but my girlfriends first. Although I wanted her to see downtown, I wanted her to experience an entire day there so I decided to book a Saturday night (July 30) at the El Cortez Cabana Suites. They were literally $20 more then their basic low level hotel room at the El Cortez. It came to $127 after fees and taxes. Fremont was much higher then expected for a Saturday night (booked 5 weeks ahead of time) however the Cabana Suites was actually on the cheap end. Much of the hotels which were half the size approached $180+.
Nonetheless we got to LV super early from Cleveland and got to the hotel around 1030AM. We were told to come back in about an hour since our room wasn't cleaned yet which was totally understandable but wanted to try anyway. Checked back in at 12PM which was easy and headed to our room. It was nice that a security guard guarded the door day and night. The room was clean, bright, and my girlfriend was very very very happy. The room was plenty big and we loved the huge bathroom and double sinks, fridge, etc. We were at the end of the hall so we didn't hear any noise and got a comfortable nights sleep.
I look forward to staying here once again esp if it's during the week. It's a shock I found this room in the off months for as low as $45 which is a steal in any town.
