  • I just left The Pantages and wow! What a great hotel and staff! I was in town for TIFF and wanted a hip, central hotel and Pantages was exactly what I needed. When I checked in, I mentioned to the desk clerk that I needed to find a drugstore to get a toothbrush (my sonicare had died...) and she whipped out a toothbrush from a drawer! I didn't ASK for one, but she was prepared, like she read my mind! The suite was amazing, lots of room to stretch out and an uber-comfy bed. The only drawback were the pillows: they are pretty big/fluffy and my short neck could not handle- ha! I went to a screening at the nearby AMC and spend my dinners and nights out on Queen St West. Each night the hotel kindly got me a cab, even though as a New Yorker, I was up for the challenge myself. And today when I left, I was going to get a cab back to the airport, but they called me a car, as it was cheaper. It was really nice here, I felt really well taken care of, which I think is the best thing you can ask of from a hotel.
