  • I don't normally leave reviews for establishments unless I feel wronged or taken advantage of. I should have yelped this establishment before I looked at Steam King, Inc. for their services. I thought I was taking advantage of a super deal. $49.95 for 5 rooms and $9.95 each additional room. Of course the deal was too good to be true. When the appt was made the representative asked if I wanted to take advantage of the sanitize treatment $0.25 a sq ft. I declined. The morning of, the crew (2 very nice gentleman) showed up, did an inspection of the property and wrote up a work order. The total for 6 rooms (1 master,3 small bdrms and 2 living rooms). The work order had the $49.95 and 9.95 and $25.00 each room for $25. In addition there was a sanitize charge for each room $25. Actual price came out to $60 per room!!!! The total came to over $350. I should have declined and sent them packing but I was in a pinch to get the carpet cleaned ASAP. We negotiated the price to $300. After the workers left and the carpet dried, there was very little improvement. My children could have done a better job with a rug doctor. Steam Kings my ass. I used my personal steam cleaner 2 days after on an area and was able to eliminate the stain on my own in 5 mins time. Don't use this company... they suck and take advantage. The carpet reeks and has little to no improvement. Their employees were extremely nice though. That's the only positive thing I can say.
