| - If you are looking to get away from your boring workout this is the place to be! As a former member of Title Boxing when it was at this location I was very excited to see a new and improved boxing gym open in it's place.
Even as a guy I was a bit intimidated at the beginning as the only boxing experience I had prior was playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out. I can tell you my nerves were quickly put to rest by the amazing trainers and members here. This is not a gym where you will find a bunch of dudes wearing Affliction t-shirts trying to give each other black eyes. It is an amazing work out that incorporates HIIT, cardio, strength training and boxing all into one killer workout. Some days may be more of one than the other, which keeps your body on it's toes and keeps the workouts fresh and exciting.
You can expect to see men and women in all different stages of their fitness journey. But the great thing is that there is zero judgement, everyone is there for the same reason, to get in better shape and have fun. All of the members I have ever taken classes with have always been great, there are zero egos here and everyone is very encouraging to each other. The trainers will motivate you to push yourself to YOUR limit not judge you because you cannot yet do what someone else can.
Signing up was totally painless and David was awesome. Zero sales pitch, in fact he asked me several questions like what my background is and how many times I planned on coming in a week to help find the plan that was right for me. Zero BS with billing or hidden fees either, he literally turned the computer around, pointed at the number on the bottom and said "This is what you will be paying" and he was right on.
So far I have only taken classes with Larry Smith, who always brings out the best in you. He is always upbeat, super positive and high energy. He is always willing to take a minute to help you with your technique to make sure you are doing things correctly.
Bottom line, I highly recommend Pound Gyms.
