  • I will never go back here. I had switched dental insurance and decided on Gateway Dental for a cleaning and check-up. They insisted that a cleaning was not going to work and that I needed "root-scaling" done. I found out later this is something certain dental offices push as a scare-tactic and money-maker. They also told me one of my fillings was getting old so I needed a crown (which they could conveniently complete that same day). They tried to upsell me on over $1500 in out-of-pocket procedures until I finally convinced them I just wanted to do the procedures covered by insurance. Not a pleasant experience at all.
