  • I went here with my friend for an afternoon brew. I was immediately drawn to the quaint atmosphere and most importantly the great selection of brews. However, the reason I am giving this place only three stars mainly has to do with the service. When I walked in I didn't know which beer on draft I should select as there was so many good options. The guy behind the counter said, "What do you like?" I said I really don't have a preference. He then told me to just pick something then and he didn't even say that with a smile. I then went with a suggestion made by another patron sitting there. After we got our brews, my friend and I sat on the porch. All around us were no smoking signs.Then some man walked up, sat down and started smoking a cigar! Hmmm... This started to make us feel grossed out so we went inside and sat at the bar. My friend told the guy behind the counter that we moved in because some guy was smoking a cigar on the patio. He didn't even acknowledge us about that. So, I guess if you smoke it is okay to just do so and ignore those signs. But, whatever. I then asked for a glass of water and was informed that there were bottles of water for sale or I could jut have him pour me a glass. I said he could pour me a glass as I'm not picky. He literally seemed annoyed that I took him away from his accounting duties to ask for some water as he poured me some and placed the glass on the bar so fast that water splashed all on the bar. We finished our beer, cashed out and then said bye. He still ignored us. Now, I'm not one to typically complain but this experience just made me feel like it was a good ol boys club as he seemed friendly with the other men in there and annoyed that just us two girls were there. What I'm saying is that this place when we were there was a sausage fest and the only other ladies who were there (2) were with their significant other. Definitely not a happy hour place with your girlfriends regardless of how much you love craft beers. However, the selection was great and I loved the quaintness to it that I may say screw the service and just show up for the beer. This was also just my opinion after visiting there once so it may be different on other days etc., but just thought I would share my experience.
