  • Ate at The Yard for the first time tonight and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very cool and welcoming. My friend and I were sat at a high top table in the bar area which was very nice in my option. The Yard is famous for their grilled cheese, so of course I felt obligated to order one. I ended up going with the Wang Chung Tonight, a grilled cheese made with Gouda, pulled BBQ chicken, and an Asian slaw. The sandwich was absolutely delicious! The barbecue sauce was sweet and tangy but not overpowering, all the sandwich ingredients definitely shined in their own way which was awesome. All grilled cheeses are served with a cup of their homemade tomato soup, which was delicious in my opinion. It was thick, creamy, and very flavorful. They also let you choose between four or five different types of French fries. I chose garlic parm fries while my friend had the sweet potato fries....both were very yummy. Although I didn't have a drink, they have an extensive beer list and next time I visit i definitely plan on trying out one of their IPAs! Would highly recommend!
