| - Ladies, you need to try 3A! I always say "single, young female walks into an auto repair shop..." And it's usually the beginning of a bad joke where I have a metaphoric bullseye on my forehead. I have experienced this, scare tactics and all, virtually every time I take my car anywhere... NOT HERE!
I found 3A when I bought a warranty for my car... They were convenient and offered shuttle service while they inspected it. Plus, Adrian struck me as a fair, honest and nice. I was very pleased that it is a family-owned local business... They even have a picture of the couple who owns it in the waiting room.
I had a regular auto shop I previously used for many years. My dad lent the owner the money to start the business, so I was always treated fairly. But, years later, the owner and many of the guys who know me and dad are semi-retired. I don't expect things cheap, just fair and reasonable. I found myself having to call dad like a teen again, explain, and have him call the shop to get me a fair quote. Plus, I moved to North Phoenix, and my old repair shop was in Tempe. I've tried a handful of local shops, knowing the day that I have to find a new one is near. 3A definitely stood out of the crowd.
I was very happy with my inspection at 3A and decided to give them a try next time I had an issue. Even though new to them, I have been treated like a valuable customer and not a mark to gouge money out of. I always get personal service. They explain things in words I understand, without being condescending. Customers are clearly important to them.
Plus, I have overheard them tell other customers there for a second opinion "no, you don't need that right now, maybe 10,000 more miles, which will give you some time to save and plan for it." And every customer I have talked to while waiting or in the shuttle has been going there for years and sings their praises.
I am very pleased with my experience so far... If it keeps up, they will have yet another loyal customer!
