  • My cousin decided to take me here as the first stop of the evening. I walk in, and I'm thinking "well this is a swanky spot", and was a little uncomfortable. At first. We stroll up to the bar, and the bartender seemed to know we meant business. That and he knew my cousin by name, so that may have tipped him off. First round: The Batida. Served in a martini glass, a little tart, but totally awesome. Round 2: Shots of Fernet. They have Fernet in WISCONSIN? Hell ya! And Katie M. liked it! Who likes Fernet? WE DO! The bartender did seem surprised we ordered it tho, I don't think he's served it in a very long time. Round 3: Madre Jaguar: Besides having a kickass name, it tasted like a boozy Dreamsicle. Just like Heaven. We had a few more drinks, and our tab wasn't so completely out of control, which was a nice surprise. The place actually reminds me of a place that Ron Burgundy would frequent and rock the jazz flute on stage nightly. It's a classy, mahogany filled joint; very suave. Just like Mr. Burgundy.
