| - I normally go to another bike shop that's under a mile from my house. It's where I purchased my bike, and it's close, so I normally take it there for maintenance. However, at that location, the owner and employees are always so snooty and look down on me (even though I bought the bike from them) because (I assume) I don't have a $5,000 bike and I'm not mechanically inclined enough to do some minor repairs. Therefore, I decided to go somewhere else for a tuneup.
I chose Cain Park Bicycles because I've heard they're excellent, and I was not disappointed. I walked in and was informed there was a 6 week wait period for a tuneup (oops). I apologized and said I didn't realize they booked so fast and I was actually moving to Columbus in a few days, so that wouldn't work. Instead of shrugging and sighing and turning me away, they threw my bike up on the rack and took a quick look at it. Adjusted the brakes, oiled the chain, checked the tread on the tires, and the alignment.
They were super nice, friendly and accommodating. If I ever move back to the Cleveland area, that's the ONLY place I'll take my bike.
