  • I love visiting museums when I travel, but the downside is that you can end up feeling like you didn't really spend much time "in" the city you're visiting... so, for me, the hustle and bustle, the fantastic vendors, and the interesting sights, smells, and sounds made St. Lawrence Market one of my favorite stops in Toronto. Yes, there are certainly a lot of other tourists, but the place isn't particularly kitchy or obnoxious. It's fun, accessible, and well priced. If you're in from out of town, I highly recommend visiting first as part of the Culinary Adventures Tour of Old Town and St. Lawrence Market. The tour begins and ends in the market, so you'll have time for shopping after your guide has taken you to some of the best stalls for more food than an average person will be able to eat!
