  • This was my first time at this salon, I had a facial ($45) and a french manicure done ($20). Facial: Consists of: Cleansing, Peeling, Ozone Steam, Remove Black head, white head, Hi Frequency, Massage (face, neck, shoulder), Moisturizing Mask, Toning, Moisturizing Cream Cleansing - OK. Not a fan of the smell. Got a scrub after, which I assume would be the "Peeling" (really should say Exfoliating), that was OK as well, also not a fan of the smell. Ozone Steam - Kind of straight forward. Wish the steam was moved around more instead of just at the center of my face, but I assume this is because the extractions were only for black heads and white heads on the nose area. Kind of disappointed with that because I'm used to extractions for the entire face and was hoping for that. Hi-Frequency - no idea what this was, don't think I got that. Massage - Not bad, could have been longer and more gentle on the face. Moisturizing Mask - Probably my favourite part of the facial. It's actually like a peel off mask but not the same kind that I would buy from a store. It's not the clear and thin type that kind of hurts when you peel it off. Instead it's a pretty thick and opaque mask (green in colour) and doesn't hurt at all when removed. It also comes off in one piece and smells quite nice and it is refreshing. Toning - Not sure I got that. Moisturizing Cream - OK. Not a fan of the smell and the texture. Feels like there is residue that I don't like. Overall, the facial was alright. It was only $45 after all! Before the facial, I did ask what products they used but they just told me "normal". So I'm guessing the products are just generic ones that they buy. No idea if they are hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic, but hopefully I won't break out *fingers crossed*. French Manicure was average. Didn't have any bleeding from cuticle trimming which is good (happened many times before at different nail salons). Shape of my nails weren't so bad, but I like the way I do it more. French was also so-so. It didn't take long at all though, which is good. FYI: I'm very picky about my nails and my skin care. I've only ever liked 1 nail salon out of the many I've been to. I usually do my own nails at home, because I'm rarely satisfied with the way other people do my nails. So if you're not picky/OCD like me, you may find this salon to be really amazing and great value too! P.S. Amy was the girl who did my facial and my french manicure. Although we didn't talk much because of the language barrier, she seemed pretty nice. I liked her, so I tipped her $10. They also offer mani & pedi for only $35 which is a great deal if you ask me!
