I consider French food to be the pinnacle of gastronomic bliss. Quality of ingredients, preparation expertise, presentation, and service ~when on point~ allow one to understand why the French deserve lofty attitudes regarding their cuisine. Our dinner meal was sublime and the service (in true French style) was leisurely and attentive. I feel there's a "give and take" between a diner and the establishment, and that not every restaurant appreciates that nuance. It's a courtship of sorts. Bardot Brasserie and Chef Joshua Smith....I am smitten.
