| - We were driving around and craving a some frozen yogurt as a mid-afternoon snack. We decided to try one of the places we haven't been to yet, and Yo! World was on that list. While it's a decent froyo place it didn't live up to others in the area.
Yo! World is a very tiny yogurt spot, and it's uncomfortably quiet. We were greeted as we walked in and made our way over to the yogurt dispensers. That's where I found my first quirk...they only have one size bowl, and it's pretty darn big (most other yogurt places offer a bowl smaller than this one is.) What this means is that if you're not careful (like I wasn't) you will fill your bowl with waaaaaaay too much yogurt, because appearances are deceiving.
The flavors on offer today were decent, ranging from the usual to the unique. They had some of my favorite staples like red velvet and cookies & cream. The miss' gave the pretzel caramel flavor a whirl and was not a big fan, despite loving pretzels and caramel.
The toppings is also where Yo! World flopped a bit. Many of these yogurt places focus on cruddy sweet toppings, where I want nothing but fruit. The topping selection in general was just below par, as they had less total toppings to offer (both sweet and healthier) than some other yogurt places.
In the end, Yo! World is far from the best froyo place in town. It's not super horrible, and I would probably go back if in the area and I had a sudden, relentless urge for froyo. However, in all likelihood I would probably drive the extra 5-10 minutes to go to one of the places I prefer more.
