| - I very rarely ever use the words "awful," "horrible" or "terrible" to describe food, but those words are appropriate for my review of Nau-ti-Gal.
My calamari: Nau-ti-Gal's calamari is out of a frozen bag. I've eaten both freshly prepared calamari and frozen bag calamari, and it's quite easy to tell the difference.
My basa wrap: it consisted of little pieces of flaky, bland fish pressed together, lots of bitter-tasting lettuce leaves, a tomato slice, and a tortilla. No sauce. I felt as though my fish was put together from scraps of fish; it was not a solid slice/piece. I don't know how old the lettuce was, but it did not taste fresh.
My coleslaw was very bad: not only was it bland, but it tasted rancid like the mayo was expired. I only ate one bite and knew I couldn't eat any more.
I ate my entire dinner at Nau-ti-Gal in about six bites, which included just half the wrap and the one bite of coleslaw. I ate a bowl of cereal when I got home.
Meals I've had before at Taco Bell and Burger King have been tastier, fresher and better-prepared than what I ate at Nau-ti-Gal. From my experience there, I don't have the impression that Nau-ti-Gal cares about the quality, freshness or presentation of its food.
