  • If I had the option, I would give this store 0 stars. I'm going to preface this review by saying that I love my dress and I'm extremely excited about it, but I would NEVER encourage ANY bride, bridesmaid, anyone, to buy their dress at David's Bridal. Some of the worst service I have ever received, especially in such during what is supposed to be an exciting and beautiful time in my life. A few months ago I found a dress online through DB that I loved, so I called this store location closest to my home to see if they had it in stock. They said they did, so I asked if I could just drop by and try it on. They said I'd need to set up an appointment, so I scheduled for the next day but let them know it would be during my lunch break so I would only have 30-45 minutes. The next day I arrived at the store and got signed in at my appointment time. They asked me to browse while the stylist got things ready. It took ~30 minutes for the stylist to finally come get me, and she sat me down and started asking me details about my wedding. I let her know I was on my lunch break and just wanted to try on the dress I had called about. The stylist seemed to get upset with me and annoyed. She said that just trying one dress can take 30 minutes. I said fine, and the dress I tried on turned out to be the one (it took 5 minutes to put on). The stylist was pleasantly surprised that I found my dress and had me ring the bell. She told me it would come in at the beginning of December and we would probably do a fitting in February, then March and April for my April wedding. She encouraged me to make an accessories appointment where I would be able to try on the dress again with different accessories. I scheduled it for a couple months out when my MOH was in town so she could see it. Fast forward a couple months to my accessories appointment. My appointment was for 11am, when the store opened, and we had gotten there a few minutes early. We waited outside (where employees saw us), and the doors finally opened at 11:07. The employee didn't apologize, but just said, "Hi Ladies..." I signed in, and the lady asked me my name, phone number, email, and what my appointment was for (like it wasn't even in their system). She said, "Okay so you're looking for a veil..." At the time I wasn't even planning on a veil. I responded, "Um, no... the stylist asked me to set up this appointment months ago so that's what I'm here for. I guess for all different accessories." She asked me, again, to browse while the stylist got ready. My mom and MOH looked at dresses for a HALF HOUR, and it was 11:30 when I saw my stylist and confronted her. She acted like she was SO happy to see me and was so excited for our appointment. I went along with it and she started walking me through all the bridesmaid dress options. I told her I was having my bridesmaids find their own dresses. She started telling me how risky that was because different fabrics photograph differently and different shades and blah dee blah. I told her that was completely fine by me. The mom and MOH found a couple dresses to try on, and asked about ordering online. The stylist started ranting about how horrible davidsbridal.com is and how they should NEVER order through there. She said that trying to return something is like calling a credit card company - you can never get someone on the line, and the stores don't take returns from online. She finally walked me over to the accessories area. She seemed like she was busy doing something else the entire time. She was showing me the few shoes they had and the veils, but said we would just have to wait until my dress came in to try it on. I asked if I could try on the dress. She asked which dress I had bought (shouldn't she have this written down????), so I explained my dress and showed her the picture of when I had tried it on last time. She said, "Umm... well we don't usually do that at these appointments... and it can take awhile.. but I'll see if I can find it." She only had a size 14 (I'm a 4-6), so I didn't get to try it on. She then explained that when my dress comes in I need to ask for a complimentary fitting and then we could look at more options for accessories. That confused me, since she had asked me to schedule the accessories appointment in the first place. She then said that alterations would happen 8 weeks before my wedding (which differed from what she said in the first place). I found a veil that I really liked, and she totally pressured me into buying it. She told me that if I didn't buy it today it could very well be gone tomorrow. I wasn't even planning on buying a veil, but this one matched my dress exactly so I ended up buying it. I'll be sure to update after my dress comes in and I have my complimentary fitting. Long story short, I'm relieved I found a dress I love at a reasonable price, but have had some of the worst, inconsistent customer service of my life. Please, brides, don't even CONSIDER going to DB.
