Here is the deal...I can't believe there is a mountain resort so close to las Vegas. This hotel is quaint and cute with clean, a decently comfy room with cute faux fireplace (although the bed linens were a bit rough and the towels were small), a helpful staff, and a yummy restaurant, but be prepared feel cabin fever if going for more than a day or two.
Mt. Charleston has no other food offerings or market other than the restaurant at the hotel, which again is very tasty, but somewhat limited and after breakfast, lunch and dinner there, can get a bit boring.
My suggestion for the hotel is to have a wider selection of food on their menu and how about offering some s'mores for the huge fireplace in the lobby. I would have paid for something like that.
To sum up....a very cool experience that I am glad I had, but I am not rushing to do again. I would recommend it for others though.
