The apartment we moved into was the non renovated unit, and there were a multitude of cosmetic problems with the apartment on move in day. Visible dry paint that had dripped, poorly painted baseboards, scratches in the cabinets AND fridge that they painted over (this was the first I've seen a painted fridge). The exhaust wasn't attached to our dryer, not only EXTREMELY dangerous but our clothes took multiple times to dry. The handle on our microwave was cracked and glued back on, our fridge would freeze the food on the lowest setting, the washer was ripping our clothes, the dryer after attaching the exhaust STILL wasn't drying small loads of clothes. So all around garbage appliances in the non renovated unit so avoid that. Not to mention the office staff became almost petty when we discussed move out and now we are experiencing additional move out fees that the office never discussed with us during our conversation about which move out option would be best for us. The only reason I gave this place three stars is because our neighbors were great and quiet to the left, right and below us and we never felt unsafe there. My advice would be to WALK YOUR UNIT BEFORE MOVE IN (we moved from out of state so we did not get the chance) and READ YOUR LEASE WORD FOR WORD. THE OFFICE IS SNEAKY AND DID NOT DISCLOSE INFORMATION. AND DON'T FORGET TO GIVE YOUR 60 DAY MOVE OUT NOTICE FOR YEAR LONG LEASES AND 30 DAY NOTICE FOR MONTH TO MONTH.
As we are currently paying two rents (our fault for not giving notice, I do take credit for that) and were forced into a month to month contract so we could then give our 30 day notice instead of 60 day notice. Not to mention we couldn't give them our keys IN PERSON the day we moved out of AZ, we have to MAIL our keys to them after not living there for 2 months or else we would be forced to pay another bull fee they made.
