We were surprised to find that there was a place with crepes so close to home. The Groupon deal was an even bigger incentive to give it a try. We went on a rainy weekday and were hesitant to go in as there was no one else in the restaurant. That's alright! We had the whole place to ourselves! The menu was a "choose-your-own-toppings" kind of slip where you get to choose the batter, fillings (savory or sweet) and sauce. Basically you get one protein and two vegetables so we got the sausage with peppers and mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. For the sauce we tried pesto with a dollop of sour cream on top (as recommended by our server/cook). It was a very delicious crepe.
Our second crepe was a sweet one with apples, blueberries (more like a jam/pie filling) and strawberries with chocolate sauce. We decided to add a scoop of ice cream and were shocked that it cost an extra $9+ including taxes. There was no price posted to add a scoop of ice cream but we never imagined that ONE SCOOP could cost that much! Was it organic? Artisan? I don't know but it wasn't the most spectacular scoop of Oreo ice cream I've ever tasted so it was definitely not worth almost $10 extra.
Would we return? Yes. It's something different but I would not order a scoop to go with my sweet crepe. No way!
