If you like the TV show Counting Cars with Danny "The Count" Koker, you'll enjoy this showroom of custom classic cars located just a few minutes away from The Las Vegas Strip. Count's Kustom is located in an industrial area and it wasn't hard to find because there's a sign on the corner of the street to show you where to turn. On top of that, there was an employee waving a sign on the side of the road to direct visitors to the warehouse. He also gave us some quick directions on which lot to pull in and where to park. It's a good thing he was there because you can't see the entrance from the main road unless you're really paying attention.
The lot was almost filled when we got there and there were a couple of custom vans outside and many of the visitors had custom cars of their own. We first stepped into a purple velvet lobby. Yes, a lobby covered with purple velvet and purple leopard and zebra print couches...practically a purple punch in your face. We were instructed not to take any video footage during our visit. Photos were OK but no video-taping what so ever.
The showroom is really cramped because of the limited space and the amount of vehicles and people that were in there. The ambiance was reflective of The Count's aura and personality-dark and edgy. The showroom was literally dark and dim with vampire-inspired customizations. They have a little store where you can purchase souvenirs like t-shirts and shot glasses. Other things they had in the showroom besides cars and bikes was an old school fridge with a nice green and purple paint job, a book shelf shaped like a coffin, and an open photo booth to have your picture taken and emailed to you or shared on a social media site.
Overall, the employees were friendly and informative. There's a food vendor in the parking lot right outside of the Count's Kustom entrance where you can buy hot dogs, soda, chips, etc. The lady in the booth that day was also really friendly and full of energy. If you're a custom car and motorcycle enthusiast and you're in the Las Vegas area, I would make it a point to stop by and check out the Count's Kustom showroom. It's free and you'll get to see a lot of sick custom cars and bikes. I'm not a huge fan of Danny's but I do like his work and appreciate a good restoration and paint job and it was awesome to see some of the cars that I've seen on TV in real life.
