| - I've been going to Suddenly Slimmer since my junior year of high school and I'm in my mid twenties now, so I think I'm pretty qualified to say I've seen this place go through a lot of change. Sadly it has only been going downhill, especially as of late.
First off, the prices in this place have become ridiculous. They are far pricer than places similar to them and the prices keep going up. It wouldn't even bother me so much if at least the service was up to par, but the service quality is on a major decline and not worth the steep prices. All the girls that were decent aesthetician's have mysteriously left (I keep getting told they moved, or left due to family issues?!) I have had about 5 that I liked and all left without warning. The only one that is great and still there is Dannielli, but she has become so impossible to book (unless it's a month in advance) and my schedule so up in the air that it never works out trying too book her. The last girl I had for my Brazilian did such a horrible job that I vowed never to go back again. I saw her twice before that because all my favorite girls left and gave her the benefit of the doubt both times even though she did horribly on both. The third time I saw her was my worst experience ever, I not only had patches of hair left but my skin was actually bleeding a little which has never happened to me before. I wish I remembered her name, but I honestly do not or else I would let everyone know to stay away.
Second, I think it is very poor customer service to charge a customer for a missed appointment. Thankfully this has never happened to me personally but when I heard of this new policy I knew the company was on a decline. I know it sucks when a customer does not show up for their appointment but to charge them 50% of the bill regardless is just being greedy in my opinion. I have read down below that supposedly "many resectable places do this" but I did a little research recently as I am looking for a new place, and no, no they don't.
Another bone I have to pick with suddenly slimmer is they used to have this sign in iPad where every visit you would put in your phone number and after about 10 or 12 visits you would receive a free B-12 shot or sometimes facial. Well, when I changed my phone number and had about 2 more appointments left till my free shot or facial they said they would transfer my points to my new number but of course they never did and I never got anything from them, and later they just stopped doing it.
Ever since I've been coming to Suddenly Slimmer the prices have just been going up and everything else down. It's really hard to fathom that my Brazilian wax + tip comes out to just shy of $100 and my skin is bleeding or I still have patches of hair left because my aesthetician is too lazy to tweeze the rest that did not come off with the wax. If I want to add an eyebrow wax or something else to my usual upkeep the pricing is just ridiculous. I have even been a member of their VIP and they changed the terms on that to screw you over even more.
