  • Scam! I enjoyed living here for two years with the green trees and polite enough staff. However, several things have irked me about this complex. First, we had mold growing in our bathroom and asked the front office if there was anything they could do for it, to which they replied 'no'. Good to know our best interests were taken into consideration here. I will admit when my and I moved out our carpet was worn. However, after three years of living in this apartment we were charged 800 dollars to replace the carpet which they were going to replace regardless. We also incurred another 230 dollar bill to repaint the entire apartment, when our paint on the walls was in good condition. Perhaps they were required to paint by law after three years but I do not see any statute in the Arizona legislature that states the tenant is responsible for that cost. Also, be careful when closing doors in this scam house, two of our perfectly functioning door jams cost us 100 dollars a piece to replace as well. So if you like green trees, hordes of stray cats, and paying an extra two months rent after you move out of a place, rush into the Villatree leasing office today!
