  • I needed to have pockets added to a suit. Admittedly life got in the way and I put it off until a week before I needed to wear it. I thought 'oh no biggie one of those express places can do it for me.' Boy was I wrong! I frantically started looking for local shops one was away on vacation. Then I found Avalon Alterations. I first messaged her on Facebook to see if she could even do what I needed because I had already been told elsewhere they would not. She responded very quickly and told me to come on in. Her location is very easy to get to and her hours were very convenient, offering hours after the normal 9-5 to accommodate even the busiest of people. She also is willing to make appointment only hours if her hours do not work for the client. The day I brought in my suit we had a quick little chat and I told her I knew needing it by Friday was asking a lot but she told me she would try her best to get it done. Her shop was lovely, I could see some of the pieces she was working on and the work looked great. My suit was ready on time, the craftsmanship was stellar. I highly recommend this shop to anyone for any alterations or sewing needs. If you love supporting small local businesses, as I do, this is even a bonus for you! Will definitely be back again!
