| - This place has a very nice atmosphere - 5 stars - but the food is really just A-OK. Basically, it was too salty, buttery, and lacked the finesse that such a high-end restaurant should have.
We got a variety of meat and vegetable dishes. The meat was very good. But the vegetable dishes - potatoes au gratin and mushrooms - were very mediocre, too fatty and salty, and lumped in such a big quantity in big dish, slightly unappealing. No elegance.
The deserts were also extremely mediocre. We got the key lime and the chocolate mousse. The key lime had a huge crust... the chocolate mousse didn't taste interesting... it felt basic.
Also, I didn't like the fact that the waiter pushed the most expensive wine first, then the next expensive one... it was a bit obvious.
This is not a place I'd come back to. If the prices were half of what they are, I might, but at this value, it doesn't seem worth it to me. I guess what I'm saying is, it should be priced at half the price it is. That would be fair.
