  • For two and a half years I have been anxiously waiting to try this place.... I saw it on diners drive in and dives before I moved to Phoenix and couldn't wait. Things kept getting in the way but today was the big day! After waiting HOURS in the social security office close by, I became starved. I drove on over and had to find parking behind it in the TINY parking spaces, typical of downtown. I was greeted instantly by a waiter and he gave me plenty of options. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a friendly waitress. I opted for the special and a side pancake. The coffee, was awful. They did not also have cream and only offered milk. I was really disappointed as I like a very simple coffee. My pancake was delicious but the rest was subpar. They only offer one hot sauce and my hash browns were mushy. It was a downtime but the waitresses were all talking amongst themselves eating and the chef staff was in the kitchen being ridiculously loud and goofing off the entire hour I was there. I am really disappointed with my visit and will be sticking to my usual US EGG, breakfast joint. If you're in the mood for pancakes and you are downtown I do recommend this place, other than that... try somewhere else!
