Alright ever since they revamped their interior and introduced a new menu with a variety of different items, this place is quickly becoming my go-to restaurant in the southwest area, period. I absolutely LOVE what they did to improve the restaurant, bravo! Seriously guys.
To start, the interior has been revamped to give it a more intimate vibe. The booths on the left side of the restaurant has a Japanese style canopy. It's a nice touch.
My favorite part by far is the introduction of new items on their menu. This place has some of the BEST tonkatsu money can buy. I am borderline addicted to their King Tonkatsu, which is a fat-ass piece of tonkatsu served on a massive plate.
The reason why I love this tonkatsu is they flatten this thing to hell so it's extremely wide and thin. When served the pork is so thin it almost melts in your mouth. I love how thin the texture is. I'm usually not a fan of pork in general but it honestly tastes like beef briskets because of the thinness of it. The homemade sauce they serve with it is to die for. I love the balance of sweet and sour it has.
Last but not least they have a wicked buy one get one free beer or sake during the nighttime. This place never had a drinking vibe to it but I think the new interior makes it a fun place to have a few drinks at. I haven't tried their newer noodle bowls and I'm excited to try what they have to offer!
