I was a patient here for several years - until today. Several things have upset me and are just plain wrong. One: At my last visit in March I was told I owed an additional $38 from the prior year. I never received a bill for anything, but like a chump I just paid it. Two: At the visit in March this year I asked for a refill on a cream I need. I was told about a week or so later that my insurance won't cover the cream but they will cover the medication in pill form. I explained that I am a CP patient and I already take more pills than my stomach can handle. All they had to do was put in an appeal to my insurance and explain why I need the cream NOT the pill and I could have had the cream. But they kept trying to force me into taking the pill and would not appeal to my insurance on my behalf to get the cream. Three: Yesterday I receive a bill with a balance from AUGUST 2014. This is 11 months later. And the statement did NOT include the date of the March visit but it did include March billing from a different date. This is the second time I have been charged almost one year later for a service from this practice. This has never happened to me at any of my other doctors. Since I have had basal cell and squamous skin cancers, I am going to get a referral ASAP from my GP for a different dermatologist. I do not feel that I am able to trust this office to act in my best interests and I do think they have some issues with their billing department.
