| - I Practice at the West Island Bikram studio pretty much every day, (and have also practiced at the walker studio) and let me tell you, It has changed my life, The teachers as well as the students are amongst the nicest and kindest people that I have ever met. The teachers and staff will go out of their way to help and offer amazing information.
In terms of a workout, I am a runner and consider myself to be in very good shape, this practice is by far the most challenging thing that I have ever done, Not only do you sweat, stretch, build strength and endurance, you also gain many health benefits, increased lung capacity, and tremendous mental strength. In addition to the many many physical benefits, you also gain self esteem and learn to have a very positive outlook on things. it is definitely an "inside , out " work out!!!!!!!
As for cleanliness, It is beyond clean, I also am a member of a gym. The Bikram studio is wayyyy cleaner than any gym that I have ever been to. As for the smell, well , yes , when you have a room full of sweaty people expect it to smell like sweat, I can assure you that it is NOT dirty!
