| - I wouldn't even dignify this dentist office with a single star. Seriously, if you're contemplating going here, read the other reviews (or look at the collective rating) and run as far as you can.
About a year ago, my significant other went in to get a crown on a broken tooth. First he was told his insurance wouldn't cover any of it. After speaking with the insurance company and the INCREDIBLY incompetent receptionist, we find out this was not true.
They later placed a temporary crown on his tooth and we were told that the insurance only covered the cost of the temporary crown and that our part of the bill would be $300. We were told at the same time that we'd need to pay another $500 for the permanent crown. Since we didn't immediately have that money, we told them we would be back in a couple of months for the permanent crown. They said that was fine.
We were told we would be billed for the temporary crown in a couple of days. After over two weeks of zero communication (like I said, insanely, ridiculously incompetent reception staff), we went back to pay our bill. I don't like to leave bills unpaid as I've had bad experiences in the past where medical offices fail to inform you they've billed you and later try to collect for bills they haven't sent. FOUR MONTHS LATER, after repeated visits to the office, each time being given a different excuse ("the printer is broken" "our billing person is out"), we were finally able to pay the $300 bill for what we thought was the temporary crown.
There were so many things wrong with this situation. A customer should not have to repeatedly go out of their way to track down a business to pay their bill. We should have ran at this point, but we stupidly decided to go back to have the permanent crown placed when we had the money. But get this: when we returned, we were told the amount they had billed us (despite being repeatedly told otherwise) was for the FULL cost of the temporary and permanent crowns. Are you fing kidding me?! We had waited for so long, with my significant other in discomfort, because they told us we had not paid for the permanent crown. Again, seriously?!
After several attempts to schedule appointments and get a new mold for the crown (because at this point it had been so long, the old one no longer fit), we are requesting a refund for the permanent crown we paid for and never received. I'll update this review to let people know if it's possible to receive a refund for money this business literally stole from us (we paid for work that was never completed...). The level of disorganization and incompetence of this office is simply astounding and the most horrifying trainwreck of a business I've ever encountered.
UPDATE 9.24.2016 We were not able to get a refund for anything. We ended up having to take our losses and get the dental work completed elsewhere. The comment below that says the company will have someone contact you is complete b.s. It seems like they look for poor reviews and comment to slightly better their image. They never contacted us about any of our concerns and I don't care to interact with anyone from this company ever again.
