  • Brocach catered our Milwaukee wedding a few years ago and it was incredible food. Brocach has since moved out of the Milwaukee area, so for our anniversary this year we decided to head to Madison to enjoy Brocach again. It was a Saturday around 11:30, and when we got there, there was only one other party in the restaurant. The server started off very attentive and helpful and took our order. 25-30 minutes went by and still no food. We don't mind waiting for food, even though we did feel that was excessive for how busy the restaurant was. But our server did not come and check on us one time, or give any update on our meal, or refill berverages. I had to walk over and ask the bartender for an update. Our food come out pretty much instantaneously after I asked. Our toddler's food seemed like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a long, forgotten time. But my food, and my husbands food were so tasty. He had the irish breakfast and I had one of their specials. So, so good. It's a shame it was marred by such poor service. Don't know that we'll make the hour trek again unless we read that service has improved.
