I go to this Pearle Vision annually to get my prescription renewed, and I usually have a great experience. I went this week and the doctor there was filling in and did a pretty terrible job with "bedside" manner and other communication. I told the ladies at the front desk, which made all the difference. They told my normal doctor, Dr. Nappi, and he immediately reviewed my appointment records from the poor appointment. He had concerns about the way the "guest" doctor changed my prescription, and asked me to come back in when I could. As a health literacy advocate and healthcare marketer, I cannot thank Dr. Nappi and his staff enough for standing up for me and make me feel like a valued patient whose health matters to them.
