  • I was referred to Integrative Dental, formerly Butler Family Dentistry, by two of my family members. I was forewarned that the cost is generally more expensive but worth the money. I was okay with this because I have silver fillings in my mouth that I want out in as safe a manner as possible. In order to have this more important work done, I had to first establish care, take x-rays and have a teeth cleaning. Because I have been busy making babies, I haven't had a proper cleaning in over two years, so they reccomended a "Deep Cleaning". My experience at this office with cleanings and x-rays was very thorough and the staff was very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. All that said, I am a mother of two small children, newly married, and a new homeowner who was misquoted what my insurance coverage is, and therefore misquoted my portion of the cost. On top of all that, my insurance ended up not paying at all due to the dentist performed work that the insurance doesn't deem necessary for what was done. I understand that the dentist believes I needed the work that was done, but had I known my insurance was not going to cover even an "out of network" cost, let a lone the originally misquoted price I would have never paid for a teeth cleaning there. I would have saved that money for the more important work that needs to be done, getting these silver fillings out of my mouth. Needless to say, after being treated like garbage over the phone by the OWNER of the company, I am out upwards of $800 and still have silver fillings in my mouth. Next time I'll just get the free teeth cleaning from a covered dentist. My warning to new patients: Be sure you double check the coverage they quote you, be sure you are aware of the cost you could be responsible to pay if your insurance doesn't cover, be sure that what they are doing is covered in the confines of what your insurance deems necessary if you are planning for your insurance to cover any portion of the cost. I really hoped to return at some point to have these fillings taken out but now after the terrible customer service I received at questioning the cost and misquoted coverage, I don't think I'll be returning no matter how quality of work is done there.
