  • If I could choose not to pick a star & continue with a review I would. I lived in this complex for over a year and half and chose to break my lease and pay what was required to go. Where to even start: 1. Parking USED to be 1 assigned covered space per apartment. When they had an issue with parking and not enough spaces, they went to the opposite choice of making sure vehicles were registered to see who/who did not belong in the complex (this would be the common sense decision) but made it 1st come 1st serve. Therefore, if you decide to go out to a dinner and return on a Friday/Saturday night you return home only to have no place to park and parking miles away and walking in the dark alone. This for over $1000 a month? NO. 2. Constant police in the complex: domestic disputes, break in's of vehicles, multiple drug busts while families and children walk by on their route to the school bus. SOMETHING is not right here. They will take ANYONE they can with a large enough deposit just to fill their complex vacancy up. Multiple drug dealers live in this complex, sketchy people walking around constantly, looking in car & apartment windows, random people stopping by for a few minutes and then leaving apartments just to pick up "items". Walking the complex in the evening, you'll see units with their doors boarded up, orange stickers by the City of Peoria in the windows stating the unit's have been seized and no entry permitted due to drug busts. 3. Office Staff: constantly giving attitude, stating they can't help you, and making something as simple as your car being broken into "not their problem". They will constantly ask you if you have "photographic proof". Even with that, doesn't matter. Everything when you bring up simple maintenance issues is laughed at as if you are a distraction to their day. 4. Move out: you have multiple walk thru's scheduled of your unit. They will come up with EVERY excuse to continue to charge you more & more thus you receiving barely any if at all of your deposit. When you ask to se e their breakdown of what was charged and thus does not get refunded back to you, they don't mail one with the refund check but instead create one after getting off the phone with you and email a breakdown that doesn't even match the refund amount check that is supposedly "in the mail" to you- it is now almost 7 days awaiting this so called check.... When I first moved into the complex I was impressed by the interior and look of the apartments. However, upon moving in, within a month I was threatened by my neighbor across from me, who turned out to be an illegal and not on the lease agreement, had my doormat lit on fire, would be kept awake until 3-4am by loud music, parties, pot smoking all around me, had to walk miles towards the end of my lease with parking either across the street at QT or in the sister property behind us and hoping that my car was safe due to break ins, them keeping over $500 of my initial deposit when I left the apartment in excellent condition, and even when I wanted to break my lease and pay whatever was needed to leave (all documented in their so called lease rules) I was told by an office employee with attitude " we are not approving your transfer and request to break your lease". She was not even in the role to do so. Needless to say, I DID pay the transfer fee and moved ASAP. They will do anything they can to get money from you, keep a body in an apartment to appear they have no vacancy, and make for a terrible living experience. I would suggest paying even an extra $50-75 dollar to live in another complex. You never know if your next door neighbor could be: drug dealer, meth lab, criminal with a record, illegal with a record, etc. I broke my lease, transferred to a new property that is quiet, beautiful, over 500 sq ft larger, cheaper rent, nice office staff. And SAFE. The reviews of this place are true 1000%. Don't sign a lease here & then read the reviews too late like I did.
