  • A safari jacket that I had bought for my husband (he said it was too small for him) was successfully tailored to fit me. This was no easy feat, as the hips were made for a man and not ample enough for a woman. Its sleeves were too long; the only part that did fit me was the chest! This garment was in need of complicated alterations, but owner Lida's expert assistant Rima, who has forty years of tailoring experience, confidently explained (and demonstrated by pinning) what she had in mind to resolve the puzzle of proportions. When we returned to see the thing ten days later, the jacket was like a new purchase at a women's shop that just happened to fit me perfectly. I am finally able to wear the classic safari jacket, thanks to Rima and Lida at Alterations by Ana!
