Update:
I want to be clear that Dr. Venkat is so nice and her bedside manner is wonderful.
Unfortunately, I found that as she has gotten busier her care of patients has fallen below acceptable standards.
I went to her with concerns about a long term cough and a rash. She sat with me for about 5 minutes, said I had asthma as a result of allergies and a virus. She gave me an inhaler for 8 days and told me to take Benadryl for the rash. She was rushed and hurried and I felt like a band aid was being slapped on something serious. When the inhaler ran out I called the office about a refill. After being on hold for 20 minutes I was told she'd call me back. That never happened.
After meeting with a new doctor I realized how much she missed and what was just dismissed. I have severe asthma requiring much more treatment than just an 8 day inhaler and eczema from my allergies. I am now on a drug regiment and my new dr referred me to a specialist. Everything is finally clearing up.
Dr. Venkat is so very nice but I feel like she has taken on too much and can no longer provide the high level of care she has in the past.
I was given Dr. Venkat's name from a friend and I am so glad to have her as my doctor. I have seen her only one time but that experience was better than any doctors visit I have had.
The staff is efficient and organized and very pleasant. The woman who took my information and vitals was so sweet and she worked quickly, getting me settled as soon as possible.
I waited only a few minutes for Dr. Venkat but would have waited much longer. She was so sweet and funny and instantly made me feel comfortable.
When she realized I was going to need to see an orthopedic surgeon for my problems she called and got me an appointment for the next business day. I was so impressed.
I would highly recommend Dr. Venkat to anyone looking for a primary physician in Las Vegas!
