  • I've been wanting to go to this bead store for a very, very long time! We were out early this morning, so we were the first customers inside (10 am). As soon as I stepped inside, cue **** Angels Singing ****, honestly I felt like a kid in a candy store! It was overwhelming (it is huge!) at first but I wanted to look at everything (I even looked at some areas 3x) before I started placing them in my bin. I recently went through my stash and I knew what I lacked: chain, spacers, findings, pendants, crystal beads, and glue. I've been taking up my hobby, getting ready for christmas (my creative inspiration has sparked). So I've been looking online (I adore Sundance Catalog jewelry). I didn't want to go to the typical Joanns or Michaels. This was a pretty good score, as I got lots of things that I needed within my $30 budget. I didn't get the strung gemstone beads because I have a lot of those (4 boxes!); maybe when I move on to necklaces. The beads are strung on the walls (back, left and right), while the other stuff, most are special sale, clearly marked on the labels and posted signs, in the middle back of the store. Most of these items are grouped together. The beads in this area are special sale, like crystal glass beads, chinese seed beads (teeny tiny), or unspecified gemstone beads. The specialty findings are on the same side of the entrance door (you have to walk around the cashier area (large square area). Also the demo area (maybe one can create things there right away, ?) with a high bar type height table, with chairs. Other things are for sale in the checkout stand. Specialty gemstone pendants outlined in silver or some other overlay. The items are organized very well. Most items are 50% off. Your hands may get dusty (this was like a treasure hunt) but there is hand sanitizer at the checkout stand. I didn't feel pressure and the lady working there wasn't snooty like in other bead shops (the small ones are pretty bad). Also, at the front, there is a good-sized waiting area where my husband sat with our son while he colored away (minions) in a book there. I will most likely be back again, it's payday soon and my job is around the corner.
