  • I'm pretty in love with this place. Not a fan of the wait or the never-anything-available-at-the-time-I-want reservation system, but the food speaks for itself. I have been to the bar once or twice and come for brunch, but most recently it was dinner. Here's what we had: - The 34 ounce ribeye. So I didn't actually order this, but I was sitting at the bar waiting for my friends and the people got one. Served on a big wooden cutting board, it screams "caveman" with a big bone sticking up off the side. It was huge and meaty and looked divine. My friend arrived and we were discussing what to order when I said "I'd love to order that steak, but a couple of us would have to share it." The folks next to us *(perfect strangers) said "it's amazing - don't order it - have some of ours and then try something else from the menu". They then proceeded to hack off a 6 ounce hunk and put it on my little bread plate with some mushrooms and a potato wedge (people are just awesome sometimes). And they were right - it was amazing. Tender and well-seasoned - cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back for it with the boyfriend. - The curry mussels. Having had kind of an impromptu meal at the bar, I decided on the mussels as my entrée at the table. The broth was the best mussel broth I have ever had. I actually packed up the leftover broth in a to-go container and plan to pour it on some chicken and rice this evening for dinner. The mussel portion was large and you can get some fries or bread on the side if you want round out the meal. - The pot de crème. I'm not a huge dessert person, but I was told I HAD to order this. This was rich and chocolaty without being super heavy or overly sweet. The perfect end to my meal and definitely a dessert I would recommend. I also sampled the pot roast and some sort of lemon pie (in a mason jar) that were really great. Everyone loved every bite and every cocktail (did I mention that they have all kinds of handmade goodies in that department?) Brunch is just as amazing as dinner - I'll definitely be back.
