  • Hey I read the review below, and I'm not really sure why all these clueless Americans are even allowed to review a city they aren't from. There are some great sound systems in the city, and I would hardly call someone living in Toronto for one year an expert on it. Would you say i was an expert on New York after one year? Doubt it. Here's the run down on the MOD club: Not the best club in the city, but then again, College is not known for the best clubs. The sound basically becomes garbage when you get to the top floor ad the layout is like a theatre. The bouncers are some of the worst in the city, BUT, when they hit it, they hit it right. The bookings are great, and definitely reflect their distinct personality. Gary Numan was fantastic at the MOD club. The show, the music, the sound, the everything. But I saw Tegan and Sara there and hated it, and I love that band. Mark Holmes really gives it the personal touch which transfers into everything they do. If you're a concert goer, don't go on the weekends for club night, and if you're more of a clubber, don't go for the concerts. The crowds are never the same. And Vanessa, most bands bring their own sound and lighting techs (if they're real pros), maybe your music tastes needs an adjustment? Just a suggestion.
