I am a big fan of local businesses for sure. Yes the bagels from Cleveland Bagel are good (especially rosemary sea salt) but they are nowhere close to a legit NYC bagel. A pet peeve of mine is when they put cream cheese on one side of the bagel. Come on. Either give me a plastic knife, look me in the eye and say, "Sorry, I'm too lazy to spread it on both sides so you do it yourself" or take an extra 5 seconds and do it right. If the giant bagel chains can do it, what is your excuse? And a bagel with cream cheese is $4.00. I think that is over-reaching a lot. That is a $1.50 premium vs other places. If your chive-cheddar cream cheese actually had freshly shredded, off-the-block aged cheddar, then I might get closer to understanding the upcharge for cream cheese but not when you use pre-bagged shredded cheddar that has zero taste. Parking situation needs some help.
