  • Wow. I miss Carlos! I did trust bringing my car there but now I will be looking for another mechanic. With Carlos, he always talked directly to me, not my boyfriend. The new guy they have talked to him instead of me. As a professional, educated woman, this is insulting. I got this car 6 months ago. It took me repeating what kind of car I had and my name several times for him to find it. After several times of repeating what kind of car I have, he still said "I don't see a Corolla out there." I responded, "Because I don't have a Corolla." Even then, I just wanted an oil change. He even tried to up-sell that. The only other thing I wanted done was to check and top off all fluids and specifically mentioned the windshield wiper fluid. That had to be topped off when we got home because they had not. The things that came back as needing to be done recommendations were astounding with a total of over $2000 of necessary work. I have only had the car for less than 6 months and 3000 miles. The mechanics here had commented how well maintained the vehicle had been and what a great deal I got in my new purchase. Suddenly, the car is falling apart? I don't think so. It drives absolutely beautifully. When I got the car I did have some regular maintenance and other things done. The new "suggestions" were partly what this shop had already done when I got the car and even more expensive now than when they had done them. The new customer service person also said I had a pretty bad leak and needed to look into fixing it immediately. I know my car and have it parked either in a garage or the same space. I regularly watch for leaking spots and have had none. I will watch even more closely to where he said it was leaking, but I am sure it is fine. When he went over what he said needed to be done, he still didn't even talk to me and when done just said ok, have a nice day. He hadn't even given me the keys back and had to spend another several minutes looking for them. Over the last six months, this establishment has obviously changed from being a trustworthy business to one who tries to sell you what you really don't need. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for nearly three years, have recommended this place to friends and have even had my daughter come in for service. And honestly I have never had any dissatisfaction with the quality of the work. The mechanics have always done us right. But I don't have time or money for up-selling nonsense. If I can't trust the person speaking to me - or not even to me - then I don't know that the work is actually necessary. I can't in good faith recommend that this even comes from the mechanics, instead of a guy at a desk who is trying to make a buck. So, now, I will neither be making recommendations nor will I be having my car serviced here.
